Here at With Love, we took a moment to sit down and discuss the benefits of purchasing a sample. Being a bride is a onetime thing, so it’s understandable when a bride comes into our boutique uncertain of what “sample” shopping is, or how to make the most of it.
 

More money for flowers, or a bigger cake, or a live band or…
When boutiques need to make room for new collections, they reduce the cost of sample gowns drastically. Often times you can receive upwards of 50% off on any given sample and nearly all (well ours anyway) are in incredible shape. With many brides conscious of over spending, a sample is a great way to get a very high end dress at nearly half the price and still make your wedding budget work.
 

Time is of the essence
When purchasing a sample, the dress you try is the dress you buy. There is no lengthy waiting process for your dress to be ordered in or custom made. It’s ready for you to take home the day you buy it. This is ideal for brides who have a wedding day quickly approaching.

Our pick for the best score at our upcoming sample sale is “Lorena” by Christos. This incredibly detailed dress is so versatile- you get a boatload of romance in the ruffled raw tulle skirt, a great fit to the figure with the trumpet shape, classic bridal lines with the strapless sweetheart neckline, and so much more. This gown is decidedly fashion forward with silk tulle draped over a delicate lace, giving you a peek-a-boo vintage pattern. Stefanie and Michael’s stunning outdoor wedding had a decidedly vintage, romantic and intimate feel. Her simply adorable ivory, cream and blush bouquet was packed with peonies, roses, ranunculus, and we even spied a few snapdragons. Ginger’s Closet, Toronto’s newest and only luxury bridal consignment boutique, recently produced a styled inspiration shoot with an incredibly talented team of vendors. Our theme was “Fresh Spring Couture”, and our shoot was inspired by the beautiful bridal gowns carried in our store. The once worn and sample designer gowns were the stars of the shoot, rife with couture elements such as lace, embroidered beading, floral embellishments and stunning fabric detailing and draping.

 
Our brides, modeling gowns by Vera Wang, Amsale, Romona Keveza, Kenneth Pool, Christos and Melissa Sweet, were accessorized in pieces by Haute Bride, Sara Gabriel, Desla, Stella and Dot and Angela Mikhail. Each look had a very distinct and different air than the next showing the personality of each gown and the bride who wears it.
 

 
At Ginger’s, our goal is to illuminate the potential in each gown and help brides not only see its beauty, but also envision what it can become. Spring, consistently a symbol of new life, was the perfect season for this shoot as we brought new life to once loved gowns and styled them with fresh creative vision. The creative “Fresh Spring Couture” shoot was an experience of talent, surprise, beauty and positive energy which is exactly what you will find in Ginger’s Closet.

Aside from being absolutely stunning, Jennifer also has the most beautiful personality. She is warm, kind, positive, and looks drop dead stunning in her gown… but we’ll save that for later. It’s no surprise to us that Jennifer is joined by Jay, whose good looks parallel her own, in these classic engagement photos. The bike scenes remind us of the movie, Now and Then, laughing on summer days, and reliving your childhood. It’s obvious that these two enjoy a playful sense of romance, and at the very heart of it, love is all about being able to have fun with the person you care most about in the whole world.

From a childhood crush, to smouldering sweethearts, Anthony and Jacqueline are the real deal. Jacqueline was sweet enough to share their incredible engagement story with us and, we must admit, it made us blush, and had our hearts a-flutter. So many people today believe that romantic men are a dying breed, but Anthony proves that wrong with his symbolic rose giving, endearing nerves, and meticulous planning. We are so lucky at Pearl, to hear the heartfelt tales of how our grooms pop the question! Oh, a did we mention that Anthony and Jacqueline are super hot?!
